I have had occasion recently to catch up on news from my favorite town – Pahrump, NV. Here are some items for your reading pleasure.

The county after an emergency meeting has filed an injunction to keep the Pahrump Town Board from signing several contracts.

The Soroptimists are holding a “Bra Bling” fund raising event.

A pastor with HIV has been charged with trying to seduce a young male.

The assistant sheriff has been charged with illegally removing the signs of his election opponent.

A sheriff’s deputy has pleaded “not guilty” to drug charges.

A man arrived at a neighbor’s house on an orange moped brandishing a gun and terrorized his neighbor while looking for his wife. He found the way to jail, what with being drunk and having a loaded pistol and all. No title, no proof of insurance. You know the list when a drunk husband hunts down his wife.

Another man was arrested for simple drunk driving of a scooter.

There have been several drug arrests, often with both pot and meth. One lady clenched her hands when the cuffs were put on her. When deputies finally got her fist opened, there was a plastic bag with a white crystalline substance in it.
