Surgical castration without hormone therapy

I have no testicles. Thank you Dr. K. I also do not take any testosterone or estrogen. I present as male, but I am a true neuter.
A word of advice: Castration is permanent. Afterwards you will no longer fantasize about it. You won't care. Sex will be what other folks do.
Your body will change and adapt. This will take at least 3 years. You will have hot flashes, weight gain, body hair loss, and penis will shrink in size. Without estrogen, you will not grow breasts, but you will gain some fat. You will stay the same person (personality) as you were before. Your beard will still grow, but not as fast as before. Your hair color will lighten (at least mine did). You will need to mind what you eat so you don't become obese. I was skinny and could eat and eat and never gain weight before castration. All that has changed.
Caution: If you are serious about castrating yourself - DON'T! Find a real surgeon, not a cutter. Don't try using the tools and methods used for farm animals. It will hurt and it won't work! I know.
After castration, be prepared for explaining your condition when you have to go to your family doctor or an ER. Mine was shocked, but he got over it, and asked me about the effects that I was experiencing. There are a lot of accidental eunuchs out there, but don't brag about it. You could lose some friends and be subject to public ridicule. If they don't need to know - don't tell them!
My wife knows and understands. We kiss and hug and give each other back rubs. We still love each other.
Why did I have it done? Simple - I was a sex-a-holic. I could not refuse a sexual offer - male, female, young, old, it didn't matter. I cheated on my wife; I engaged in unprotected sex with strangers; I masturbated daily. Now I have none of this. No more worries about getting caught or catching a disease. It is ended. I am at peace.

Thanks for your words of advice to others and for sharing your experiences as a long-time eunuch.
I want to ask why have you eschewed using any HRT at all? For me, a small amount helps me to maintain my mental and physical health and have a feeling of well-being, without returning to the oppressive libido that I once had. Its still a never-ending daily task for me to watch what I eat and to exercise but, other than a loss of most of my sex drive, I don't have any of the other typical side-effects that one typically might get after castration. I still consider and act as a male. I still can appreciate and admire the body of a woman: I just don't have the sexual desire that might otherwise accompany it. I am now in control of my sexuality.

That may be your experience but certainly isn't mine, I now have a small pair of perky breasts that any fifteen year old girl would be proud of, despite taking tamoxifen to stop this and taking no estrogen, I am male and want to stay that way, that is the main reason I started taking testosterone after my castration, it immediately stopped the aching and they decreased in size by a small amount, I am now waiting to see a breast specialist to have them reduced probably by surgery.

I think many of these threads should be prefaced with "in my experience". We can never say this is exactly what I went through so it will be the same for you. As far as methods are concerned while I do not advocate the use of a cutter it was the only choice for me. I had no complications other than prolonged drainage from being active too soon after surgery. Some who went to surgeons had major problems afterwards so the advice might be no surgery is without risks. I do think my personality changed for the better and while I did gain weight the surprise is in the areas I gained it. Please always remember your mileage may vary.
What has been heaven to me may turn into hell for you.

Nicely put, Tugone..I'd love the same experience..but wth a doctor..I have to convince my wife that it's for the best..for both of us...I sometimes get fits of rage (somewhat warranted, I think)..and horny (which I don't want either)...She and I are beyond sex...We're both in our late 60's , and I haven't been able to rouse Big Jackie for some time now...I want them gone...(plus, I'm transgendered)...Thanks pard Jackie

I guess I should have said that "This is MY experience." "Your mileage will vary," says it all. Thank you, tugon.
An interesting point was raised about my lack of HRT. Do I need this? I am not sure. I have become more ornery than before, but then I am 70+ and was ornery before. Perhaps some slight breast enlargement has happened for me, but nothing alarming. I can still have spontaneous erections, but ignore them.
My main goal was libido reduction or elimination. Castration resulted in 100% reduction. Hurrah! Does this work for everyone? I have no idea, but it worked for me.

I am very happy for you that you have achieved your goals. I am also very pleased with my life as a eunuch. Oh I still think about sex and masturbate on occasion I no longer prowl the streets and bars. Oddly enough I am still a major slut in my dreams.
