I was castrated about a month ago and would like to make some really eunuch friends or more. I always like the idea of being nuts less but I had to be castrated for medical reason and even with nut problems it was a 20 year wait. The doctors would rather throw pain pills at you than castrated you. I do have to say my last urologist suggested castration and I did not have to say a word but yes. I am so glad I did as my nuts hurt for 20 years and I had to have pain pills everyday for that long mind you they did not work for that long too. So I was already on hormone replacement But the doctors would much suffer than cut them off. I think most doctors think a guy will fall apart. of course what was wrong should have shown up in there test. but no. It showed it's ugly face once they cut them up. It was reduced blood flow so they were dying a little at a time. this was caused by hernia surgery and a mass of tissue too.

It's much easier to convince a female urologist to castrate you. They don't have the hang ups that male physicians do. Good luck with your healing and congratulations on becoming a eunuch. If you're like me, you'll have no regrets.

Welcome, I can't imagine doing pain for 20 years I had enough of it after 18 months

I have had testicular pain since 2004 after a bad hernia repair operation.....it goes on and on, but hopefully soon they will be gone!

Hi and welcome sorry to hear you had to wait all that time. You have now joined a very special group of people and a group of very happy people. Good luck and if you have any questions ask away all are willing to help, its around now and over the next few moths things will start to change in most cases for the better but there are a few down sides.

Jcat my pain was due to a hernia repair too. but I make keloids. which means a lot of scar tissue. I guess I was lucky as the doctor who castrated me was male and had no problems with it and he was a young guy. After so many years of pain it was finally nice to find a doctor who was not afraid to suggest cutting them off. I asked years ago when only one hurt and I hit a brick wall. As I said they gave me pain pills for 20 year and I am taking high dose pills. Even with the pain gone now, I just can not stop them. I was told it will take 8 months to taper me off. The nice thing is I did not even ask. He was the first to say it. He did tell me I could have pain. Like I said I liked the idea of getting castrated - but after 20 years of pain I was more than happy to get castrated and I have no regrets and I can tell I never will. Since I am gay I have always felt like a different sort of man and now I feel more comfortable in my own skin. I do like being a guy and I am not trans. but I can tell I would all ready like to have a face lift for my scrotum. I do not like the extra skin. I am not sure how to really use this site well yet - but thank for the support guys. I had so much pain I felt like my nuts were the enemies of the state and should be shoot at dawn. I was wondering do all you guys use HRT? I use way less than they want me too as they think they never worked right in the first place. I have been thinking of taper off them. they make me feel weird. I do not think my body ever made much as I did not shave or have much body hair until I was way over 25. I was put on HRT at 31. Now I am a hairy guy.

My opinions: Try to stop your use of pain pills by substituting them with a dedicated program of diet and exercise. ...Castration gives one a sense of control over his sexuality, be that person gay or straight. ...It takes six months for scrotal tissue to fully shrink. ...Too much HRT and too little HRT is detrimental to one's health. Testosterone tests should be done until a suitable level is established, which can then be monitored once or twice a year to be sure that level is being maintained.

I personally know this person and he has been on a high dose of pain medication and he is correct, you cannot just quit them cold turkey. I've been a nurse in part of my life (Yes, I actually hold a professional license) and I saw many patients in a similar position to himself - high power pain medications are opiods, as such they have addictive properties and cannot simply be stopped all at once especially for long term users (and he's a legal user). So he'll have to come off them gradually and I'm sure his doctors are doing that for him as I write this. The human body that has been given medications such as this will REBEL against you if you have been on them and stop them abruptly.

I'm confident he'll be off them eventually, but telling him to stop them all at once and substitute with diet and exercise is the wrong approach. While diet and exercise are important, advising a person in his position to cut these meds off abruptly is asking to give that person more problems that it would solve.
