Sleep pattern changes with Siterone!? Add estrogen?

Post by whyohwhy (imported) »

Hi,

I'm mtf transgendered and started Siterone 50mg about a month ago. So far I mostly notice the sleep pattern changes which is very annoying. I wake up very early in the morning and feel tired througout the day? Will this stop if I add estrogen? Should I start E now or wait longer for T to diminish? Libido is much lower and spontaneous erections are mostly gone but I can go at it pretty easily if I want to.

I had low T since my teens and always had trouble sleeping. Taking E pills helped it get more normal - I had no problem getting to sleep and waking up and less issues with energy during the day. Switching to shots though I get a lot of energy the first night or two after the shot has kicked in and I sleep very little. You can always time this for a weekend though if it bothers you.

Adding too much P can really wipe you out.

Edit - if you're TS and taking E there is no guarantee your libido will go. E puts mine through the roof, although my libido has always been pretty adaptive which helps a lot. Waiting for something to happen to your libido that may or may not happen with any variation of hormones might not be such a good idea? X

What do you mean with P?

I don't want my libido to go at all. It's just that I take it for an indicator for if hrt is working or not. I just read everywhere that Androcur is so much more effective in reducing T that I thought I wold notice a mayor difference to Spiro. Well I never had sleep or breath issues in the short periods I took spiro but libido wise it was almost the same. Sexual thoughts and spontatneous erections are almost gone but I have not so much trouble to get an erection if I want to but then it's still just a month...

Progesterone :)

I see, sorry! Yeah I wouldn't really expect that to go in just a month :S Although in my experience effects are kind of faster than reported. So you're trying to gauge your dose of blockers before adding anything else and confounding it? I'm not sure if that will work, given adding E will change your T level and also the blockers themselves affect it over time? X Also androcur doesn't cross the blood brain barrier for a very long time and only in small quantities, so effects on your libido are from lowering T not blocking it, which takes a long time and is affected by E :/

You can't really change anything without changing everything else x

Nah I've just heard that one should take blockers for some time alone and then add E because it wouldn't work that well with high T. I'm just wondering how low my T is now with a month on 50mg Siterone split to 2x25mg in the morning an devening after meals. I took 100mg for a few days at the start. From reports I got the impression that the impact is very noticeable after one month but I don't feel much different compared to spiro. Just the changed sleep and diminished strength/shortage of breath is noticeable...

I'll just add 2mg progynova and wait what happens but I wonder when I can reduce the Siterone dosagee to 25mg with eh but I think I'll need a blood test for that.
