Hey all you lovely people.

I just joined up and wanted to stop in here and say 'Hey' and introduce myself.
My name is Joshua, and I've been thinking about castration for many years.
I've been doing a lot of research online and talking to other like-minded people, and also to some who have actually gone through with castration. Many different people, who have used different methods to achieve their goals. Surgical, chemical, banding, burdizzo... but one thing I found out, they all have in common. All the Eunuch's I've talked to are all very happy with being a Eunuch. Some say their only regret was not doing it a lot sooner. I am looking forward to the day I will become a Eunuch. I finally made up my mind about which method I will do. It's going to be the Burdizzo clamp. I'll be ordering one soon, and will be asking a lady friend to help me. She has local anesthetics injections to help for the pain.
So I will be browsing around here for some final detailed information I need yet. Thanks in advance to all the lovely people here for making this a great place.

A warm welcome to you! there's lost of expertise here to help.
I suspect that you can do better than a burdizzo. Not many recommend it, and with good reason.
Read the posts here and don't be in a hurry. The safest and best is to have a doc do it in the office, after you're sure it's what you really want.

I am very sure it is what I want. But unfortunately in my country, it is not possible to get it done by a doctor or in any kind of professional clinic. I would love to have them surgically removed, but then I would have to resort to a 'cutter' and that's not safe. So I have concluded the next best thing is a DIY with a Burdizzo and a good friend with anesthetics.

Yes, you are right to fear the cutter. A burdizzo works but not very reliably on animals. Less good on people.
If a doc isn't available in your country, try Thailand. The flight is cheap in tourist low-season.
Google "srs Thailand" to start the search for possible doctors who might help you.
Read EA for as much information as you can find, and ask the experts here for answers.
Burdizzo and Do-It-Yourself are not good methods. If you are sure that castration is what you want, get it done safely and well.

For an article I've written, I needed a copyright-free photograph of a Burdizzo. I telephoned a number of large animal veterinarians in the area before finding one who even owned a Burdizzo. When I arrived at his office, he and I walked out to the horse barn, where he rummaged around in a dusty cabinet in a back corner before finally pulling out three of them.
We selected the least rusty of the set and walked out to find a place with enough light for a photograph. On the way out of the barn, the vet's assistant asked what the instrument was, never having seen one before, despite having worked for the vet for several years.
The vet explained what a Burdizzo was and how it worked before saying that he found a Burdizzo to be far more painful to the animal than performing a surgical castration WITHOUT anesthesia! He hadn't used one in over ten years.
Your profile indicates that you are in the Netherlands. Depending on the reason that you have for wanting castration, you may find it easier to obtain from a surgeon than you think. If your reason is gender dysphoria (Male-to-Eunuch) it can be covered under national health insurance. Xenomelia/Body Integrity Identity Disorder is, unfortunately not covered yet.
I would suggest that you find a psychologist/psychiatrist who works with gender dysphoria. There are several very good ones in the Netherlands.

@daifu-orchid unfortunately i dont have the money to travel or to pay for a surgical castration
@Yesus thanks for that info... i will look into that.. i was just assuming that it couldnt be done here, and that the health insurance wouldnt cover it. my

oh and if I would do the Burdizzo, like i said i wont be doing it alone. a good lady friend of mine who has anesthetics injections will be giving me something for the pain of course. and she has a friend who is a vet. so i got that covered.
