I thought I would start this thread as a kind of starting point for the next few weeks as my Castration is scheduled for September 6th in Philly with Dr Kimmel. Luvpain is joining me there for moral support and as camera man. There is one other person showing up, I think its party time.

Anyway, most of you that know me or have seen my posts, chatted with me know that I have been on Androcur for the last year and medically I am a eunuch and have been sense last year. It will be nice to stop the Androcur and just be free of the balls hurting all the time.

I am looking forward to being smooth under my dick and I continue to enjoy being a eunuch.

Today I feel calm about the upcoming trip, a few weeks ago I was getting real nervous about the whole thing, I hope that has passed. I remember talking to Charlie about 5 years ago about his experience and he talked about a lot of sleepless nights. Charlie, your right, I have had several.

First off, you do have my best wishes. Oddly enough, I do not remember any sleepless nights before the operation. But I was age 56, had had libido problems all my life, and was looking forward to being shut down.

In any case, YES, do keep us posted.

I wish you good luck with your upcoming surgery. I slept OK before my surgery, but I still remember my last pre-castration days in which I worried about the doctor's age and whether he was really going to work out, plus the nervousness one has before going through any type of surgery. Rest assured that this does work out. With Dr. Kimmel doing the surgery now, you shouldn't even have to consider the issue with the surgeon's age like I did.

I had a terrible time before surgery! In fact I called Dr. Spector at one point and canceled, then a few days later went into a proper panic, thinking that I might never get a chance again.

After a rather horrible experience with taking HRT for a while (I stopped in January 2001) life had been really GREAT! Libido is all but gone, hot flashes all but gone, and I think my general health is improving, believe it or not.

I base that last comment on my trip to the doc's today. I have been diabetic for over 8 years, and today the doc cut my medication IN HALF! I am also taking blood pressure medication and he said if my BP remains as good as it is for another 6 months he is going to cut that out too!

Could it possibly be that my improving health, in spite of getting older, is somehow related to my being a eunuch? I think the possibility is definitely there.

But don't be nervous, Riverwind, a lot of us here have had good results, and we are all pulling for you. All the best for a speedy recovery and a super life as a eunuch!

Best of luck, Riverwind. I can almost assure you that you'll never regret your decision. All of us have likely experienced some doubt. I totally looked forward to my procedure leading up to it. Then, after being prepped, I lay there and thought about the exhibition I was about to put on for 4 other guys. I was gping to be in some distress (there's trauma even with local anesthetic; recovery takes 3 weeks), and 4 guys were going to get the show of their lives. I got over that quickly and have never looked back.

I am glad that you will be with friends when the final moment arrives. I will have to go it alone. I will know in two weeks, when I calculate my finacial situation again, if I can afford it. I am confident that I will have the funds necessary. Good luck to you!

I guess I am entering this calm state before the storm but I am looking forward to it and there is no backing out thats for sure.
