I remember that as a very young boy I was taken to a movie theater to see the Walt Disney film Fantasia. One part had all these totally nude little blond boys with wings on their backs sliding down clouds with their legs spread wide apart as if they were proud to show off their naked And empty) crotches. They were nullos! Did Walt Disney have some sort of castration fetish? In any cast it made quite an impression on me.

No Walt Disney had a Penis phobia -- wholesome entertainment meant no sex and FANTASIA had hullo's
There's all sorts of rumors about the "gay" content of DisneyLand and DisneyWorld and various of the movies. Supposedly there are penises hidden in the artwork and backgrounds of several movies. Supposedly there are secret meeting places for gay sex in both parks. It's all horseshit, of course.
Why in 1967 Hippies demonstrated around the Pentagon and made it levitate five feet in the air. People swear that is true to this day.
Way back in the 1950's the censors demanded that the "family" TV show "OZZIE and HARRIET" when they showed a bedroom secene had twin beds a foot or two apart, and insisted the actors have one foot on the ground and be dressed under the covers of the beds so they couldn't possibly be having sex. ALSO, there was scandal in TV-land when LEAVE IT TO BEAVER tried to show more than the tank of a toilet. The sound of a flushing toilet wasn't heard on TV until 1971 (All In The Family)
Censorship, prudishness and stuff like that was why those FANTASIA characters had no penises.
Hell, the first interracial kiss wasn't until 1968 ...

Yeah, seems to be The Pastoral Symphony section in Fantasia (1949).

I think it's the same little angels that show up in Roger Rabbit as well, when they first enter Toon Town.
Back in the days of VHS, I had a really expensive studio standard VCR and watched "Akira" for the first time, when it had just come out on VHS.
When the legendary boy comes back near the climax of the movie, he doesn't have any genitals, either.
As for Disney, well, do a Youtube search for something like "Disney hidden sexual message" or such. You'll find a whole bunch of things pointed out hidden in animations. I think the minister having an erection in the Little Mermaid's wedding is the more prominent, along with one of the towers being a large penis.

I saw FANTASIA as a double feature with the Walt Disney film "Jungle Book". Are we too assume that Disney's Mowgli didn't have anything under that red diaper? Even as a boy I wondered.
Seriously, it's odd that in a society where castration is taboo they can make kiddy cartoons with naked nullos. What's going on?

Disney nullos in Fantasia were certainly memorable -even after over 50 years! -It also caused me to notice that all the animals too were nulled. Strange how certain fascinations persist, and maybe generate many taboos?

I mentioned this to my hubby, and he speculated that his fantasy of having his penis cut off by women might date back to seeing that his older sister's dolls had no genitals. He really doesn't remember how far back he's had that fantasy. One incident where he was abused by his sister and her girlfriends certainly stands out in his mind, but he knows his fantasy goes back farther than that, so nullo dolls might be the original trigger. I thought the irony was interesting: In their zeal to strip entertainment (and dolls) of any sexual content, the censors may have inadvertently given hundreds of boys a penectomy fantasy. They'd have introduced fewer problems if they'd just let kids see sex organs as normal.
