One of the possible side effects for a eunuch is the onset of diabetes. I have no idea how many here have this problem. But here is a bit of good news and hope of a better future from Google.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-25771907 Good news no?
It makes me feel old, how clever can we really get with this sort of tech stuff?
The usual rules apply to lower the risk of diabetes, get the weight down, eat well and get plenty of exercise, the more so for those no or lowered Testosterone.
At least Google will keep an eye on you!!

The best is an anti inflammatory diet, not only this will prevent diabetes it will also help to prevent arthritis and cancer.
Sure google keep an eye on us and on everything, they are like the NSA with whom the collaborate!

Many people confuse carbohydrates from calories. This is a very huge problem when you're with certain health food aficcionados. What you primarily need to be concerned with is limiting the amount of carbs (carbohydrates) that you have during a meal or snack. It's not that the fat or calories is important too but these are not the primary factors of diabetes. Things like vegetarian burgers and hot dogs are higher in carbohydrates and lower in fat so in theory you would gain less weight HOWEVER but because of the carbohydrate content you are doing more damage to your system by trying to be vegetarian than if you were to have an ordinary burger or hot dog. I did end up getting into a major argument with a close friend once who insisted that I have have a vegetarian burger instead of an ordinary one. It's the carbs not the calories! Even though I am not a diabetic, I do however follow a diabetic diet (most of the time).

A lot of people make that error, devi.
They also mess up with those stupid "Carb Choices" which are 15 grams of carbs, not "1" carb, which is a gram on a label.
I try to follow a low carb, more paleo-centered diet.
If it's a dead animal, I'll eat it. So long as it isn't processed, such a deli meats where the main ingredients are sugar and wheat flour/filler.
I try very hard to avoid grains, although I do have a few corn chips when we go out for Mexican. I count out about 12 of them at the local place, as I've done blood sugar tests there a few times before and after a meal.
If it's a vegetable that grew above the ground, I'll usually eat it. Beans and peas, you have to be careful with - high carb count.
The only root vegetables I'll eat in small amounts are carrots and sweet potatoes.
I do drink red wine as well.
I've been Type-2 since 2006, and I've never had to have medication. My A1C's have been as low as 5.3.
As for things like sugar free candy and such, I'll indulge once in a while, but not often. The other night, I was depressed and went face-down in a half gallon of Edys ice cream.
I'm still paying for it, too. It's not cheap, though.

Scheduling counts as well. So let's say as an example for a not so good but good enough diet you'd do:
5:00 - Rise
5:30 - And shine.
6:00 - Get moving already!
7:00 - Breakfast not to exceed 50 grams carbohydrates.
10:00 -Snack not to exceed 25 grams (fruit and nuts good idea)
1:00 - Lunch not to exceed 50 grams carbs.
4:00 - Snack not to exceed 25 grams. (banana or avocado green chili sandwich?)
7:00 - Supper 50 grams(think soup, etymology of word supper)
10:00- Bedtime snack (Oh well!) Certainly not more than 25!
Total - 225 grams for day as targeted
REAL total - 250 grams, maybe 300? Better watch that fudging!
