My favorite was Ukraine decorating the tree with arachnids. That would keep me away from the tree. Oh, if I'm ever in Austria and Krampus tries to switch me, I'll deck him - heheheh

You know that Christmas add with a guy who trimmed a palm tree, that is me next year.

Oh that one in Japan, about having to put in reservations at KFC at least two weeks in advance to have a "real" KFC Christmas dinner, and Colonel Sanders in the new Santa... Now that is something weird.

I don't know what weird thing I will do this Christmas, but I am sure it will be very weird... Any ideas?

Ignore it completely, Celebrate the Yule on the 21st, dance around the tree, open your presents, avoid the last minute rush on the 24th, cook a goose and stuff it with apples.

I thought about cooking a duck and stuffing it with assorted vegetables.

The local store has frozen ducks. Think I just might have to try one.

before you put it on the roasting rack poke some holes in the back so that the oil drains out of the bird, enjoy.

Good luck with the duck, Paolo!

I tried doing a duck once; fresh as could be, too (killed that day by our farmer neighbor).

We had no internet at the time (this is 12 years ago), and I thought, heck, a bird is a bird. Call someone to ask for suggestions? Nope! I did it the same as I would a chicken.

Man, I couldn't SAW through that meat. Toughest bird ever! I still don't know what I did wrong, but when I did hack/slice/saw a piece off, I couldn't even chew it into submission.

Gave small pieces to my pit bull, Kale, who also chewed and chewed before swallowing.

So yeah... don't be shy about asking how to cook it :)

The Hungry Mouse has pictures and detailed instructions of how to roast duck

http://www.thehungrymouse.com/2009/02/1 ... ispy-skin/

There are other recipes but the pictures make this a winner.

That sounds like a winner Dave, I might try it myself for the YULE dinner.
