In the thankfully blurred out video above (NSFW version here — it’s graphic and will hurt your feelings) Russian performance artist Pyotr Pavlensky took a very uncomfortable seat to take a stand against what he described as Russian society’s development into a “police state.”

Hundreds of tourists to Moscow’s Red Square got an eyeful of political dissent when the naked 29-year-old St. Petersburg-based artist nailed his scrotum to a cobblestone outside Lenin’s Mausoleum. In a statement released to grani.ru (via The Mirror) leading up to the performance, Pavlensky explained his testicular gesture:

“A naked artist, looking at his balls nailed to the Kremlin pavement, is a metaphor for the apathy, political indifference, and fatalism of contemporary Russian society.”

Of course, the naked artist has a point. Back in June, the Russian government unanimously passed a federal anti-gay propaganda law — banning the promotion of “non-traditional sexual relationships” in the presence of children — followed by a law (also passed unanimously) banning adoptions from foreign same-sex couples.

After his latest stunt, Pavlensky was treated at a Moscow clinic and taken to a police station.

No stranger to suffering for his art, Pavlensky sewed his lips shut in 2011 to raise awareness of political rockers Pussy Riot, who were jailed for staging a protest performance in a Moscow cathedral; Pavlensky was later arrested for wrapping his naked body in barbed wire outside a government building in St. Petersburg.

I did worry about that. I have a Macintosh and it said nothing was amiss but then those warnings are different for PC's and Windows.

Anyone else should pay attention and skip seeing the video.

I apologize if I'm repeating myself. I think it was another website, one that deals with a variety of kinks. This is a true story (honest, it is) about an idle mind (mine) with too much time on a lazy morning.

I was reading about a guy who put staples through his scrotum. It sounded cool and got me playing with my own sack as I read. I looked at the Ace stapler on the desk next to the computer and began wondering..... I thought, the skin on the bottom of the scrotum isn't very sensitive, Hmmmm.....(You know where this is going, don't you?) Yep, I put the lower part of my scrotum in the stapler and squeezed. My intention was to stop early, before the staple folded over but I was squeezing too hard to stop and it closed all the way. Sounds a little like a burdizzo, doesn't it? I felt so little that I figured no staple came out. I checked, the gun had staples. Oh well. Not being sure if I actually put a staple in my scrotum or not I figured I'd do it again. I must have found a more sensitive spot. It wasn't much of a sting at all but this time I knew my scrotum had been pierced. OK. it worked, now pull it out. I saw the second one but not the first so I still wasn't sure if there was a first one. Try as I might I couldn't get that damn staple to open up. Shit! My wife was out shopping so nothing to do but wait. When she came home I sheepishly spilled the beans. After she stopped shaking her head and laughing she dug it out. Only then did I tell her about the first one. After a repeat performance of head shaking and laughter she dug that one out too. We still occasionally laugh about that stunt.

I still like to play with staples but now I use ones that don't fold over so I can pull them out myself. I use a Bostich stapler with half inch long staples, like the kind you put up insulation with. They're also made of bigger wire so they get my attention better as they go through. Why do it if there isn't a little pain involved, right? I put my scrotum on a piece of Styrofoam as a backer before stapling. The staples go in all the way and I can get them out by myself. Ever walk around with a chunk of Styrofoam hanging from your scrotum? Try it, you might like it. A little innocent kinky play keeps life interesting.

No, I don't have any plans about putting a staple in to a testicle.

On video I have heard a request to get up. And the second one to stop filming and delete it.

It is Moscow, city with 10 million people, cops there probably seen everything (or almost everything )

Not that I approve of the methods, but hope he would not end like Pussy Riot.
