I am considering asking my psychiatrist for chemical castration. I know that I can get it, as someone I spoke with in the lobby at my last appointment and who has the same problem I have said they asked for it, and the doctor was very willing to give it and encouraged the person to go that route.

Can someone who has been chemically castrated or works in this field, tell me what to expect when/if I start it?

Is it a pill or shot?

If shot, do I give it to myself, or does the psychiatrist?

What will it do to me?

How will it impact:

erections?

ability to orgasm?

Sexual thoughts?

Will my cock or balls shrink?

by how much?

What time frame will I start seeing a difference?

Can I stop it anytime I want?

Any other info and insight is welcome.

Depends very much on the drug you're gonna take. Siterone is used as pills, but it's not available in the US. Medroxyprogesterone (used in the US) on the other hand is used as a shot. Spironolactone is available as pills, but it is not very effective. The first two I mentioned are highly effecvtive, they will reduce significantly your libido, erections and ability to orgasm. Your cock and balls may or may not shrink. Other common side effects: shortness of breath, hot flushes, gynecomasty. I wouldn't advise you to use such drugs unless you're sure you want no sex and are willing to pay the price, i.e. suffer side effects.

Yes but by how much it depends, on the size of your penis before puberty. Your testicles will atrophy and how much they will shrink depends on the length of time you take the drugs.

You should notice a difference in 1 to 3 weeks, but there is no hard time frame.

Basically Yes, but some drugs you will have to ween your self off them. The amount of time one can be on the drugs and recover full function also varies from no recovery (very low percentage) to half an year or more.

Long term effects, the time frame varies greatly.

infertility, testicle atrophy and hypogonadism (low testosterone)

How so? I am small now, and have always been small.

L3.0cc, R5.0cc, stayed up late to do this... ran out of needles but would have loved to continue. My testicles are pretty small for the past couple of months with the help of injections but also Estrogen patches... I'd say they are about 1.5 cc each still. I felt that they were healing and beginning to produce testosterone more so give it all i had time for tonight. It's difficult to inject fluid (40% vodka) but once it gets going it goes in easier. The needle gauge is important at this point because a large gauge just didn't work for me as the fluid simply leaked out... better to use insulin needles although they take patience to fill..
