The Saga of the yellow jackets...
Since I said it in the wrong thread, here it is in all it's dumb glory.
Yesterday. I had a HS graduation party. My niece "X" 's son graduated and that would be all fine and wonderful but my other niece "A" has these in-laws she doesn't talk to... My Mother does talk to them and I got roped into driving them home from the party. Driving them all home took 3 hours and 120 miles round trip. My ass hurt. Sorry, I'd rather be succinct than cute about that.
WHEN, I get home and there's a dozen bees creeping under the windowsill of my bedroom window and heading straight to the eight lights on the ceiling of my bedroom... It's like "Go to the light Carol Anne" "Seek the light CArol Ann"
two hours and 1/3 can of RAID later, The bees inside the house are dead and the slit beneath my window sealed with cardboard nailed to the wall... I can see them crawling outside and my bedroom window.
it's 10:30, I'm tired, aching, and my butt hurts like a flaming sword is being shoved up it... SO I llay down, and search Angie's List and call THE BEE HUNTER. He answers and says :"Turn off the lights and they will leave you be"
Did i say: I also drove the scooter into a wall so hard I left marks and nearly fell over. Ripped down a tapestry to keep from falling.
This morning the exterminator called and asked if he could come at 7pm. I said yes (what was I going to say)
Besides, my refrigerator had one pork chop in it, crackers, butter, and nothing else but a bunch of carrots and three onions.
SO I shopped at the Supermarket this afternoon.
It was a hive of bees under my window. I saw it when I returned from the supermarket. I didn't bother to go near them...
Imagine, a whole hive and they didn't even think about paying me rent let alone signing a lease.
Rotten little squatters. They are all dead now. The BEE HUNTER killed them dead.
For $350 bucks. Less than I expected.
But there's a hole in the wall inside.
SO now I gotta call a handyman and get the hole fixed.
Like a bad bee saga...

Re: The yellow-jacket bee saga
Poor bees, just trying to make it in a bad economy and ZAP House destroyed, no FEMA just some toxic waist.
River

Re: The yellow-jacket bee saga
I didn't know that they were attracted to lights.
When the two guys came back from the truck in white bee outfits with helmets, I locked them in my bedroom and left them all alone. I must say, I never did that before
