Sun's magnetic field "is about to flip", warns NASA

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/sun-s-magnetic ... ml#16tkHt9

The whole of the sun's magnetic field is about to "flip", according to NASA - with warning signs being spotted by observatories around the world this year.

This "flip" happens every 11 years, and coincides with the greatest solar activity in the "cycles" of the sun, known as "Solar Maximum" - with sunspots and "coronal mass ejections" on the surface of the sun.

The effects are so powerful they will be felt beyond Pluto . . .

1) Will Duck and Cover help?

2) Does it scramble memory? I don't remember the event 11 years ago. How bad was it?

NASA has a video explaining the sun's magnetic reversal.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34gNgaME86Y

It explains the ripple and it's function in the solarmax...

I am sure nobody remembers what happened 11 years ago nor will they 11 years from now remember what happened this time, its the way of things, short term memory.

Maybe its' time for the metal foil cap to block those neurologically injurious rays and flippant solar magnetism.

Are metal foil hats an American thing? Like Glow in the Dark.

There was a study on foil hats.

It's reported in a PDF from MIT

Here's the wikipedia article. It's not as funny as the MIT study.

Build a Faraday Cage for your head!

The end is near.

Even as soon as the 15th!

It should have been conceived by an American

1) Yes, in a faraday cage, somewhere deeper into the earth :D Seek a nice cave. Ok, joking, it would not help.

2) I do remember, it was bad enough, that we have seen quite bright Aurora Borealis, which is usually very rare at our latitude. (Unusual enough, that at first it was "what is this???", and only then came understanding).

Poalo

Could that Faraday Cage be integrated into a cap or hat.

Greater profits might be realized if we also advertised they offered "expected" protection from cellphone's carcinogenic effects on the brain.

Integrated into clothing for similar advantage while operating a Hybrid or Electric car.

Could a Faraday Cage be that flexible and still stifle the EMF transmission?

Just wondering.
