I have testical pain of unknown origin. It has been going on for the last 10 or 11 months. I am seeing my second urologist, the first one just wants to wait and see. My therapist told me to see a female urologist because she won't have castration complex (?) . I don't know what to do.

I am tired of feeling the pain. Over the counter remedies doesn't help. I want them gone........

Has anyone out there have this problem? My therapist thinks I should try chemical to see if shutting them down would work.

Please need feedback or advise

Thanks Gene

I went through this for longer...about 3 years. I found a Dr. that listened and after 8 months of carious tests, he removed my testicles.

I'll tell you one thing to do; Get another therapist. A female Urologist who won't have a castration complex? That makes absolutely no sense medically or logically. A therapist is not a medical doctor unless they're a pyschiatrist and, in general. should not make suggestions as to medical issues. But this piece of advice is not only not helpful but potentially harmful to you. You have real pain and clearly do need to see a physician of some sort. Start with your primary care physician and have them refer you to a competent Urologist. Again, get rid of that therapist.

I tend to agree with the therapist, both from what others on this site have expressed fron their experiences and from my personal experiences.

Orchialgia

A pain in the testicles lasting more than 3 months, usually of unknown origin or due to trauma in the past. Idiopathic.....

My personal belief now is that orchialgia is in some what a imuno response. Thinking alone the lines of endometriosis.

The body oddly enough can become allergic to things it produces, sweat for example. I have the idea that the body can become allergic to sperm. Women can become allergic to semen....

Anyway. For the original poster. While it is generally true that women doctors do not have the same issues with removing testicles (in the same way that male doctors doe not seem to care about removing breasts or uterii) the point of the matter is that there are a number of drug treatments to explore before surgery.
