As opposed to number two?
no, no, I wil not sink to their level...
On Wednesday, July 17th, 2013, at 10:32 PM
SOUTH PARK will show the episode that started it all...
CARTMAN GETS AN ANAL PROBE
Is it the story of a boy with a Carmen Miranda fixation and his adventures with Fleet Enemas?
Or is it the revelation of the real X-Files (they're out there, you know!)
I hope. One is never sure about South Park episodes why it might be that aliens were responsible for Thanksgiving.

Re: south park season one number one
Keep in mind when watching it that this was Matt and Trey's first full 'take' on the characters (excepting the crazy Christmas "card" they were famous for already), so the animation quality is horrible.
They did all the animation with cut-outs on backgrounds and a home-made camera frame.
I actually see it as one hell of a great example of outsider-art, a genre that's gaining respect lately.
SouthPark remains the only full-length cartoon on air that can zing you with truly topical subjects; they have (and do) punched out shows in under 7 days so as to be fresh in regards to news items and/or spectacular Hollywood-star self-destructions. They can do this because they are the ONLY guys who do virtually (if not literally) all of the animation in-house, in USA.

Re: south park season one number one
Oh yeah, and also: The episode is freakin' hilarious (if you're into that sort of thing!)
****SPOILER ALERT*****
The probe is actually a fully-extended satellite dish, completely inserted into (and... extruded out of) Cartman's ass. Go ahead... read that without giggling

"Dude, there's an eighty foot satellite dish sticking out of your butt!"
Watch it Dave, it's hilarious.

Re: south park season one number one
I've seen this a couple times.
One of the channels keeps showing SOUTH PARK: BIGGER, LONGER, UNCUT (the movie) late at night and It's still wonderfully offensive and delightfully outrageous.
CARTMAN GETS AN ANAL PROBE was a radically different form of cartoon for TV.
