Tonight, 8 July 2013,

Turner Classic Movies is beginning to air 25 clips of various archived guests on the Johnny Carson Show.

There are five tonight each about 12 minutes long being presented from 8pm to 9pm

Tonight's guests are Doris Day, Charlton Heston, Chevy Chase, Steve Martin, and Tony Curtis

For the next five weeks (I think, TV schedules are notoriously changeable) they will present five new segments and then rotate them filler bits between the rest of the year's programming.

Johnny Carson was a laugh riot. I liked his skits and visits by Joan Emery with various animals.

Unfortunately the best show was before they started recording them, his guest was Jerry Lewis, if you remember JC liked to give a couple minutes to his sponsors before they would break for the commercial. JC lost 4 spongers that night. Now Playtex you can understand but Kleenex?

RIP JC the tonight show has never been the same.

I never saw that Jerry Lewis segment...

However the funniest segment I ever saw was George Gobel coming on in the last few minutes after a a show of his comedians just hitting every joke and Gobel remarks: "Did you ever feel like the world was a tuxedo, and you were a pair of brown shoes?"
