Not for the sophisticate but for the 12 year old kid wanting to see blood.
The Man With Iron Fists is an old style KUNG FU movie updated into the Eli Roth realm of blood splatters and violent fights. THere are more dramatic and meaningful blood platters in Kurasawa's RAN but that's high drama. This is splatterific swirls and pools and sprays that Eli Roth artistically weaves into the story.
If you remember the old saturday Kung Fu movies with people flying around fighting then this is your ticket.
Thieves try to steal the gold and lose.
Its got a lousy opening sequence with an ugly rap song but it makes up for it later when the grand battle gets going.
Lucy Liu plays the mistress of a whorehouse and there's lots of fighting women to please those who like that style of KF.
There's lots of whores showing breasts too.
