The type of fire cracker the guy uses is what we use to call a ladyfinger. When I was a teen, back in the 60's I got some of these in Canada and gave a string or two away to my buddys. One of my friends use to hold these between his finger and thumb, right at the tips of his fingers. They would go off and he would have no damage to his fingers. This is because the explosion would have all this empty space to go into. One of the guys felt that "these firecrackers ain't nothing" and lit one and put it into his shirt pocket,bam! He ended up with this huge chest burn. It was a neat physics lesson for me. When I look at this video the first thing that jumps out at me is that the first one is a dud. (I didn't have audio so I do not know if it was addressed). These are very easy firecrackers to manipulate, he may have taken a drill and gotten some of the black powder out, also there is this weird white area at the base of each of the ladyfingers that makes me wonder if it has been tampered with. I haven't seen this kind of firecracker in years but I don't remember any with a white area at the bottom. Anyway going back to my earlier buddy shirt pocket story if he had shoved that thing down his urethra it would have blown his dickhead clean off.

Like you said, the danger of a firecracker is really based on whether there is any outlet for the force. In a closed fist, even a small firecracker can blow off a finger.
In the video, you can see that it did indeed cause massive bruising and some bleeding to the glans, so I think this was "real" (not tampered with). I think he was aware that if the actual firecracker was inside the urethra that it would blow a chunk of his glans off, so I think the white stuff was a sort of handle (maybe like for birthday candles) that kept the actual firecracker suspended a bit above the penis head. He has another video there where he puts a bunch of firecrackers into a cardboard box along with his penis. Again, it seems that he's looking to have the firecrackers go off in close proximity to his penis, but not in such contact that would cause him to lose a chunk.

If you look carefully, during the second attempt the cracker isn't inserted as deeply. Somehow I don't believe this person is a Physicist but by not having it as deeply down as time one, he actually saves himself considerable damage. Also, I can't figure out the ropes or bungee cords or whatever. Is he some sort of failed fetishist? Also nice to hear that, apparently, he helps himself to some inhaled courage between the two tries....and then succeeds.

I would think that would hurt but would be exciting too. It is a risk and that risk kept him hard at least thought for awhile it was going to go soft and hit his balls.
