An unnamed British man told viewers of ITV's 'This Morning': 'It progressed to being more violent and then the fantasies of sexual assault and rape started... and then I thought of killing the women I was sleeping with.'

A British man who regularly fantasized about raping and murdering women voluntarily underwent chemical castration so he'd be stopped from killing.
The unnamed man, in his early-20s, told TV viewers he chose the radical treatment which decreases sex drives using hormones after coming "very close" to carrying out the crime.

Speaking to hosts on ITV's This Morning show, he said he would "seek out women as he drove around" and had even "planned the perfect murder."
It started when, despite having a girlfriend, he started to cheat - hooking up with women from online chatrooms.

But the sex became "boring" and he wanted it to be "more extreme."
"It progressed to being more violent and then the fantasies of sexual assault and rape started... and then I thought of killing the women I was sleeping with," he told viewers.

It ended the night he decided to kill a woman.

The man told TV hosts Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield: "The removal of my sex drive did occur quite rapidly and made me a lot more comfortable."
"I went out that night to do it. I purchased specific tools and had them in the trunk of my car. I drove around and got an individual in to my car. It was easy, but I never harmed her."

Realizing he had become dangerous, he turned to Canada sex expert Dr Paul Federoof who suggested he submit to the castration and undergo intense counselling.
The man told TV hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: "The removal of my sex drive did occur quite rapidly and made me a lot more comfortable."

He added that he "lost interest in acting out my thoughts."
Federoff told the show that, whilst the method was "no quick fix, almost every time we do this things turn out very well."

The medical treatment - which sees men decreasing their sex drive by taking hormones to suppress the production of testosterone - is already mandatory for child sex offenders in Poland, Russia and some U.S. states.
But this case is believed to be one of the first times someone has volunteered themselves to receive it.
