It talks...

I have discovered that my MacBook has a speech to text program and it reads whatever text I highlight.

I've started using to on my short stories to read what I think is the final text.

Hearing the story reveals the mistakes my eyes miss.

SO if you like to write stories and can get your hands on any text to speech conversion, use it to proofread your stories.

Does it come with Spell Check also?

Yes, but the spell checker is built into the MacBook and WORD and then integrated into the operating system.

I'm told one can find more spelling errors, and other errors too, if one goes through a story from end to front. Something about not being distracted by the flow of the story and whatever it is that you expect should be in each sentence.

I wonder what the analog for that in TTS might be...

Several times at work I had to do that with another engineer. It's tough but it works.
