Hello all,
I had an 8 mm kidney stone that had to be removed with surgery. Can this be related with taking 100 mg spyro for about a year?
Thank you,
Joe

Im not si sure jddo2001, however studies have shown that an increased consumption of phosphoric acid found in soda pop will definetly do it. Do you drink a lot of pepsi , coke or diet sodas?

Drugs.com does not list kidney stones (renal calculi) as a side effect of spironolactone.

I drink sodas with moderation, like 2 cans per week.

I agree, there is no reference to it. I have had single episodes of kidney stones in the past, always in the left kidney, the previous one 14 years ago.
What made me think about a correlation with spironolactone was that this time I had multiple stones and located in both kidneys.
