I survived the Mayan Apocalypse.
And I didn't even get a T-Shirt.
What does one do now?

I saw on the CBC news of a new beer drink they were releasing that had chocolate flavour(I forget what specific company was to unleash this prized drink).
This was to commemorate the end of times. A fun way of celebrating the end of the world

In Russian, the end of the world sounds exactly the same as "the end of light".
So there were quite a few puns here, along the lines of - we had the end of the world, for a few hours, but then everything was restored.

Too bad the Mayans had their own Apocalypse. Since the world did not come to an end I am very busy Christmas shopping.

:dong:Sam Adams Chocolate Beer 750ml
The best Bocks display many layers of luxurious flavors. For Sam Adams Chocolate Bock, only hand-selected hops from the world's oldest growing area are combined with a complex selection of carefully roasted malts and a centuries old brewing process. Finally, the beer is slowly aged on a bed of rich chocolate that is specially blended by the master chocolatiers at Scharffen Berger Chocolate.

A couple of years ago (the year we went to the MOM) we were visiting relatives in northern Michigan. At some rural point there I had the radio on and the Lutheran Hour began at 8:30 AM (Newfie time zone?). Come 9:30 AM and the Lutheran Hour started again. Ditto 10:30.
The Mayan Calendar is like religious programing in rural Minnesota-Wisconsin. The end of one cycle is just the beginniing of another cycle.

Maybe order a special t-shirt that says:
I survived the Mayan apocolypse
and all I got was this t-shirt.
And I even had to special order it too!
(after I got over my hangover)

The world did end for about 150,000 people that day. That many die on an average day.
