Christmas Present for the Grandson

Post by Paolo »

So I got him one of these:

And there's some assembly required!

Oh no...as Tim Allen grunted famously.

Snow or not, it looks like it works on mud, too!

I'm sure the boy's mom will love me.

Maybe A-1 can come over and help me?

I keep threatening to buy my grandson an electric car when he turns 5, my son keeps threatening me with "do you want to die old man" one of us is sure to win :D for those of you who know my son, you know he is all hot air on that one.

Firetruck with siren.

I know he will love it, so will I.

Last year I got him a set of drums.

Been there, done that.

Last year, Godson2 had a live in girlfriend with a 1 year old son from her previous 'fling'.

I got him a large firetruck with sirens and lights. He loved it. Favorite gift.

Even at 3 in the morning...

I once bought a toy for my brother's kids that was a choo choo train engine in brightly colored plastic and if you put one of 6 large plastic discs in it, it played a song and drove around in a nice circle. It had that kiddie ice cream truck calliope sound, toot toot tweet, toot toot...

THe kids loved it and a few hours later, the kids still loved it. And after dinner, the kids still loved it.

My father (their grandfather) didn't. That toy left the house that night and NEVER showed up again.

I don't think he would have killed me. thrown me out on the street for sure if I ever did that again. but not kill.

;)

And here's Godson3's present:

I didn't get it from there, though. He already has an iPad and iPod. Right side is with cover off. I have one of these for the DVD player, RCA inputs, and it's awesome. His mother will love me.

Paolo,

...and here I thought that self-immolation was only for Buddhist Monks. Now your ass is REALLY burned... I saw those damned bobsleds at Rural King. You should have bought the display model...

...you think that she likes you now, wait until he breaks a long bone with the damned thing...

The display model was quite shabby. Put together in haste, it appeared.

He'll be fine; the hill isn't that steep. He'll run out of momentum before he hits the tree line.

It was "1975 tomy the tuneville" and the Brits and Russians are selling it on ebay (Not that I would buy it ever again) ...

It had batteries. My brother said the batteries lasted a long time before they wore out...

and he never had money to replace them
