As Bob/3 said to me, (forgive me for going PUBLIC with this...P.M. and so I apologize NOW!) "...peace on Earth." Quoting those in the "religion" business... ...and I would add, "GOOD WILL TO ALL E.A. MEMBERS AND POSTERS ON THESE BOARDS!

...and everybody else, too!

I was in the store yesterday and some girls were giggling and being generally obnoxious while asking one another what they wanted for Christmas.

After putting up with this (and trying to outrun it for 5-minutes) I told them all I wanted for Christmas was Peace in Target.

Their mother about fell over.

I usually create peace on earth - at least for me - by giving candy to the 'not-peaceful' kids in the checkout lines.

I saw a sign "Merry whatever doesn't offend you"

works for me, I don't know what it is about this time of year but the music in the stores... the decorations... they just bring me uncontrollable rage... Must stem from something in my childhood.

Doesn't stop me from wishing everyone else peace and long life \\//.

Peace on the EA is nice and a break is appreciated. I do not post much but I did read many of the posts. I developed brain rattle from all the times shaking my head.

Peace is a wonderful thing and I work hard to maintain peace at home. Living alone, caller ID and few people locally knowing where I live. Be careful stopping by unannounced because I always look out the front window before I answer. Oh and the security door is a help. Oh and when home after a dog walk my uniform is usually boxers and a t-shirt. So while I wish everyone peace this holiday season I wish to maintain my own peace. So the holiday unwelcome mat is out.

I can relate to a little holiday rage. All the Christmas magic was just a sleight of hand. I hated when people would pretend to be kind for a few days and then return to their true selves before the tinsel was off the tree.

I like to think that we are all what we are all the time. It is just that everyone has lapses into humanity from time to time. This is one such lapse. When you look at the controversies raging you immediately know your place. However, among enemies and cherished friends, associates and yes, sometimes even family, it is GOOD to have truces. It is good to have peace, if only temporarily.

In WW1 at Christmastime in 1914 the British and French and German forces spontaneously broke into a truce. The dead were buried and hostilities ceased as as enemies in war enjoyed each others company in PEACE. While it is true that miracles DO NOT cluster, it is also true that man's nature is NOT as pugnacious as naysayers would have us believe. (http://www.snopes.com/holidays/christmas/truce.asp)

The very fact that the E.A. exists, and that EVERYBODY is welcome to seek information about this heretofore TABOO subject is evidence that a certain spirit of camaraderie permeates this web site, and that spirit is evident in the leadership and I dare say the membership of those who come here to post, to read and to think about the subject matter, be it fact OR fiction.

SO, I say, HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all here. May you find magic and healing at this time of the year and if and if you do not may you find an understanding that makes your life if not joyful at least liveable. May you find new friends and acceptance and may you most of all find PEACE while the controversies RAGE around us.

Take a moment and give thanks to whomever you may that we are all still here and that we are all progressing in our own way to whatever and to wherever we are going. Know for a moment that you have found a place of respite with friends and contemporaries. Know that somebody cares...
