Holiday Survival 2012-13

Post by moi621 (imported) »

Holiday Survival 2012 - 13.

As a mild to moderate depressive I admire the charity but dislike the

Happy - Happy - Happy expectations of the season.

Usually I plan survival strategies.

And as I was doing so this November 11th 2012 it occurred to me

It is already November 11 and no Happy - Happy - Happy inundation.

Does it seem low key this year? No Chanukah displays or sales or otherwise.

Will surviving these holidays be easier then most?

The local Wal-Mart here is in full Christmas mode, with the usual bit of Thanksgiving food displays out in front. They are playing Christmas music on the stereo system...loudly. However, the usual Christmas section that doubles as the garden center is not fully packed yet, and from the looks of it, it isn't going to be. There are 2 short aisles with Christmas things as well, but the rest of the store seemed unaffected. There have not been that many fliers in the mail, either, as far as sales. I think it is lower key this year.

Thank God.
