I am curious how America looks from other persectives than mine. In Arizona I am finally seeing some contractors vehicle out on the road that I haven't seen for about 3 years. They must have mothballed them. Not many, but some are out again. I actually saw the color of OSB and tyvek about 9 months ago for the first time in forever. Not that there is a lot, but at least I see them around. Traffic has picked up, but it is an incremental change.

I just got back from my first trip to Africa with a new client. It is this interesting mix of very old with grid lock traffic on shit streets with modern zones that are really bustling. You know those spindly cranes they use for constructing high rises? At one stop in the new section I counted 10 of those working.

What do people see in their area? Is there any place in the US that is booming like that place in Africa? Just curious what the view is around the country.

I have seen a few not many new housing starts in the last year and they are building one big (I mean BIG) warehouse just down the road, its for this company that makes packaging, plastic food wrapping stuff, the building is every bit of 1500' long and 500' wide, it actually might be bigger then that its just a guess. The local hospital has started building and is doubling its size so yes I am seeing things start to pick up.
