how long for healing?

I'm going to be getting a bilateral orchie next month and then moving overseas about 2 months after the surgery. I'm wondering if that's going to be enough time to heal properly, or should I try to push my move back further? Will I be able to sit down comfortably for the 20-hour flight when I'm 2-months post-op? And would it be safe to be in a remote area of a developing country only 2 months after surgery? I've been on spiro and estro for almost a year, so my T levels are pretty much zero, so I'm not too worried about the hormone/hotflashes/mood issues, just the physical healing of the scrotum.

Seems like it would be. Although mine were undersized my healing time may have been about the same. I was working the next week afterward although it took me six weeks to fully heal.

I was on chemical castration before surgical. I felt fine after a few days, but took it easy for a couple of weeks, during which time I had very normal brusing and swelling in and around the scrotum and penis. The cords did not completely disappear into my body for three months. Check with whoever is going to castrate you about your travel concerns.

The time to be most careful is during the first two weeks after surgery.
After that, it's pretty easy, just waiting for remaining stitches to fall out.
At two months out, I don't think you should have any concerns at all.

I'll suggest that the it will depend on whether your castration is scrotal or inguinal. Although both methods are serious surgeries, inguinal cuts through the abdominal wall and the muscle in your stomach will need to heal, too. Either way, if you take good care of yourself, you should be fine in two months.

In my experience scrotal takes longer to heal and has more possibility of bleeding complications
If your body tends to heal quickly then two months seems fair

Mine was done scrotal. Spector fucked it up, and I required two additional surgeries to clean and fix it up. Both were done through the scrotum. Once the last sutures were pulled, I was back at work in a week or so. I owned / operated a landscaping business at the time, and I worked in the field. Even while waiting for sutures to come out, I was still walking and driving about doing job estimates. Suppose it is just a matter of your tolerance, healing capacity, or maybe stupidity - take your choice.

ONLY if performed by an incompetent surgeon. Inguinal is much more invasive and a much more serious surgery, with the possibility of cutting nerves that lead to the genital area. I
skin and muscles. Scrotal only cuts through the scrotal skin. If performed by equally competent doctors under the same conditions, scrotal should heal much more quickly.

I was done with incisions in the top of my scrotum. It was not a big deal, total meds were 2 Tylenol lll tablets. I drove my wife to work the next morning, went to a hockey game that evening. Now an inguinal orchiectomy is worse but why would a doctor do that for just a simple castration unless you are contemplating SRS later.

I had my right ball removed in Oct, and I am just fine mobility wise.
