This part is well written. All of Sander's stories are well written. The story is still very dark. I keep reading it because I hope it will have a more happy ending.

I very much love Sander's writing. Dark or not, I think he has a message with this story. I'm hanging on every word. I can't wait for the next installment.

Sander is confronting some very dark and dangerous thoughts. I do love to be challenged by a story. What he has done with Kim and the other boys takes a lot of courage. It has gone beyond a story about castration, sex, or even slavery, and is becoming a morality play on the issues of life and death. What does freedom even mean? What do you really have in your own power? Do you really have a choice? What is your life worth?

One must question Kim's motives. Can he really be mature enough to make the choice he is making? Can any of us really decide something like that for ourselves? Does being truly free mean both you can decide how you live and how you die?

I think like most readers at this point in the story, we just want to rush in and rescue the boys from their fate. I'm sure that is exactly where Sander wants us. I'm sure there may even be a few of us that envy the boys, or would want to be one of their clients.

For what I've invested into the story, though, I'm no longer on the side of the boys in peril. I'm on the side of Sander's overall story. I think I'm learning something. If Sander continues to write this way, then I know whatever happens, it is the story that will win in the end.

Thank-you Sander for writing this moving tale. You've really invested our emotions.
