A few questions

Hello all. I am looking to get some clarifications on a few questions.
Some background:
I would like to be castrated. I don't like my testicles, never have, never will. I find them very annoying and uncomfortable. I have no desire to have children. I know this is a very life altering experience. I am straight and would like to continue living as a male, and have sexual relationships.
Questions:
I have researched HRT, and there seem to be a couple options. I would go the testosterone route. I do not want to develop Gynecomastia. If I go to Arnkoff for the procedure, what would the procedure afterwards be to obtain testosterone? Family doc? Psychiatrist? Out of those of you who do HRT, do you still have a decent sex drive? Do you have luck with insurance paying for the hormones? Do you need to continue seeing a doctor indefinitely to keep the prescription up?
Thank you in advance.

Yes in the USA and most other places you do need a prescription and see a doctor every 6 months to a year to keep the prescription current.
You will not develop Gynecomastia if you do not over or under medicate with Testosterone. The level of medication you will want is what gives you close the level your testicles are producing now. You also don't want to have high spikes of testosterone as on the testosterone level falls your Estrogen level will spike causing gynecomastia unless you take and estrogen blocker. You will develop gynecomastia if you gain wiegth and do not take any HTR as Fat will produce estrogen but it will take longer to develop.

I am castrated and have taken a couple different forms of testosterone. I started out with Androgel 7.5g packet/pump daily. I found that this form kept me the most balanced as far as mood, drive, and ability. While I was remodeling a house, I found that I would sweat a lot and it would wash off so I switched to injectible testosterone cypionate 0.5mL shot per week at a concentration of 200mg/mL (works out 100 mg per day). That form caused me to have unstable moods, I'd get upset a lot, and frustrated at everything. I recently went back on a gel that I had not used previously. This one is called Fortesta and I use 3 pumps per day which works out 30mg per day. Yes, that would mean 210mg per week, which is more than the injections, but since this is absorbed through the skin it's less effective on a per mg basis.
The Fortesta is working out well. I've returned to a more stable mood and not as easily agitated as I was with the injections. My dick get much harder than the injections did for it, and I'm having much more powerful orgasms. Overall I like the gel better for the sexual and mood benefits over injections. I'm finding I'm much better able to control myself on the political boards here and don't find myself having an overwhelming desire to call Bobover3 an ignorant slut. LOL
You will find that if you do get castrated and go on the gel or injections, that you will still function as you do now. You can still get hard, you'll still ejaculate a nice white fluid, and the only thing that will be different is that you can't get a woman pregnant and you'll no longer have balls dangling from your crotch.
If you have specific questions, feel free to send me a private message here.

Thank you all for the replies! It sounds like with the proper dose of T, that will get me exactly where I want to be.
