Well, that's a good start, 5 mins 41 secs of a dry shave with just a razor blade. I wonder if they ever got around to sewing up the poor chap's stump. Another good reminder of why I'm glad I live in the good 'ol USA.

Great video, something you never really see, a man shortly after having his penis cut off being seen by some doctors. Since the penis wasn't found, they probably gave him a perineal urethostomy (reroute). Having his pubic haired shaved off was the first step of preparing him for surgery. What amazes me is that these Malaysian/Thai women are so quick with the knife. I know that Indonesian women prepare all the meals and are used to killing chickens and other animals, but man, it begs the question, "How fast can you cut off a man's penis?" 10 seconds? 5 seconds? I think with a super sharp knife, a penis can be cut off it under 8 seconds, depending on the size or girth. By the time he realized what was happening, his penis was gone.

I imagine that the doctors tied off the major arteries, cauterized the wound and cleaned up the surrounding area before starting to shave.

I imagine if the penis was limp (e.g., the man was asleep), a woman with a nice sharp 10-inch knife could cut it off with a single swipe, in less than 1 second.

When the penis is flaccid, it has almost literally no blood flow. The penile tissue is exceptionally resistant to being starved for blood, although nightly erections are generally required to keep some good health of the tissue.

When I've had heavy cutting done on me when flaccid, it really didn't bleed at all, but I've had needle stuck into an erect penis and it made a huge bloody mess. An erect penis is basically under pressure and it will spurt blood quite dramatically.

However, I'm certainly not saying that cutting off a flaccid penis is safe at all -- you don't have that much control over spontaneous erection and furthermore if you get excited by the idea of being emasculated you're almost sure to get some erection and therefore bleed badly.

By the way, if you ever do get cut badly on the penis apply pressure to the whole area and ideally also elevate it -- bleeding can be substantially controlled with elevation. This is while waiting for medical attention to arrive of course.

That's a nasty boo-boo.

The video doesn't actually show the doctors stitching anything up, just preparing the area for whatever they had to do next. I expect, if the member was never found, then a re-route would be the logical next step. I certainly couldn't tell by the video if he had much of a stump left. He certainly didn't have enough skin left to cover a stump. Those Indonesian ladies sure seem to know how to cut off a penis. It was probably stretched as far away from his body as she could pull, before she hacked it free.

Of course, it is also possible he did this to himself, or suffered some odd accident. There's no real info to go on. I'd like to know the full story of this.
