The Human Rights Campaign (www.hrc.org (http://www.hrc.org)) has just released a major study of 10,000 lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender young people and straight youth ages 13 to 17. The study is the largest yet survey of LGBT youth. The report is brief, but well worth reading and passing on. Parts of it are quite painful to read.

To view the report, go to http://www.hrc.org/files/assets/resourc ... Report.pdf

To view the major findings, go to www.hrc.org/youth/view-statistics (http://hrc.org/youth/view-statistics)

There are still lots of problems, but the fact that the majority can be "out" to friends and age peers is encouraging.. I grew up in the 1950's and 60's.. Terrorized that I would be found out

I've been bi just about all my life. I was experimenting with boys my age in jr. high, years before I ever kissed a girl. I've always been comfortable with my sexuality and never felt even a hint of guilt or anxiety, no matter which team I was playing for at the moment. I'm not openly bi, my wife knows and was actively bi herself for years. I tell who I want to tell and otherwise keep it to myself. The only change has been that in the last few years I find myself much more attracted to men than women.

It's sad that sexuality becomes such an issue for some people.
