Spironolactone does it work or do much?

Post by experiment (imported) »

Trying to find a simple inexpensive method of trial chemical castration and the research leaves me very confused as to what works.

My searches indicate Spironolactone is not intended for reduction of testosterone. I have seen it mentioned many times in threads and wonder it is useful at all. Should one even bother with it?

To Lower Testosterone:

50mg 2x Day Androcur (Cyproterone acetate) also known as Cyproterone and Siterone

OR

100mg 2x Day Spirotone (Spironolactone) It's not as potent as Androcur, but it is sufficient. Seen it work quite nicely on dozens ot trans folk.

It (spiro) didn't work that well for me and made me not feel well. Siterone was quick and long lasting in my case and had no side effects. For example after being on Siteone for only three months it took another three months to achieve erections again. Of course I was taking female homones as well so of course everyone is different.
