Problem staying in the chatroom

I am seeking assistance to solve a difficulty I am having with the chat room.

I am getting ping timeout after about 5 minutes. I have tried many times to put the code suggested but to no effect.

Also the 2 buttons at the top/right of the chat box do not operate when I am in the room

Are there any cures for this disease????
