oh good lord, Now I remember why I stopped watching this show.
IT could be worse...
But not by much...

Last couple of times I watched it, they had a huge shift in some the characters. What was it, 4 went back in time and came back with a 5th stowaway the changed their time? Maybe it was too cutesy and I was no longer able to suspend my disbelief.

I really enjoyed the episode...after I didn't like much of last season. However the very end was a bit of a letdown as to the direction of future episodes. I liked the 4 year jump idea better.
It's in its final run of episode so I'll stick it out. Really looking forward to Warehouse 13 when it comes back.

Yes, what gadget will they use to resurrect Jinx and Mrs. Frederic? Time-travel?

I have the whole show on my PC, I loved it. It was everything a TV show should be and more, you did not have to think it was not reality in any way, and it brings a smile to your face.
What more could you want?

Re: EUREKA (TV show on SciFi Channel)
For me, it's too cute and too pat.
It's like a well-crafted imitation of drama. They say the right words in the script but those words are trite and overused by every drama. The characters suddenly get all tender and weepy as some emotionally contrived event that was played out as cliche when Milton Berle did TV is reenacted on the screen.
And then there's those solutions to whatever contrived piece of science is malfunctioning. The Greeks had a word for it "Deus Ex Machina" from the machine they invented to hoist an actor above the stage and let them appear as one of the Greek Gods descending to earth to set straight the affairs of men. It's a formulaic plot repeated over and over.
I watch "MURDER SHE WROTE" when nothing else is on and although that show is formulaic, contrived and repetitive -- the writers never wrote down to the viewer. That's the feeling I get with EUREKA and nearly all of SCI-FI's shows. I think their writers aim for 12 year olds and write that way.
And that's my opinion. If you enjoy the show, have fun watching.

I thought all TV was written for 12 yr olds? its good entertainment, you DON'T need to think, just sit back and enjoy but don't take it to serious and that can be said for just about every TV show sense I love Lucy.

Well... true
But I would rather watch better plots and richer, older stories. That's one of the inviting portions of THE WALKING DEAD and the SPARTACUS series. They are written more for adults with adult themes and portrayals of the characters.
However, if you like Eureka, good for you, have at it and watch it as much as you like. I have a friend who likes only 30 minute comedies of all flavor. I personally can't stand those shows. But that's why he's himself and I'm myself.
