Miss Universe Canada Disqualifies Transsexual Contestant: She was Born a Boy

Miss Universe Canada officials have banned 23-year-old transsexual Jenna Talackova from participating in the pageant finals to be held in Toronto in May, 2012. The Vancouver contestant was one of sixty-five women chosen to compete in the national contest (which is owned by Donald Trump). The Daily Mail Reports that Denis Davila, national director of Miss Universe Canada, asserts that every contestant must be a "naturally born female." Critics of the decision claim that the rules do not specifically address sex change or plastic surgery.

The statuesque blonde Talackova is calling it a human rights issue. She says that she knew she was a girl by age four, started hormone therapy at fourteen, and had sex reassignment surgery at nineteen. She's previously competed in both transsexual and women's beauty pageants. "All I can say is that they disqualified me because I'm not 'natural born,' she told the National Post. "[That] doesn't make sense because since I was conscious, I always felt this way." . . . .

I considered sharing this for days.

A MtoF transexual athlete could be said to have an advantage from earlier physiology and muscles.

It seems a MtoF beauty queen is facing disadvantages in obtaining competitive feminine beauty. In this circumstance I figure if she can compete, "Why Not?". She has no advantage as if she was a runner.

Miss Talackova is an undeniably stunning beauty. Disqualifying her serves no productive purpose.

If anything, she would have a disadvantage but she is beautiful.

Maybe there is somewhat of a problem although I don' think she should be disqualified over it. We eunuchs and intersexuals tend to have longer legs at least above the knee, more eye catching and striking facial features, slender chest but effeminately wide shoulders, a more graceful gait and a great deal of agility and flexibleness plus be much more vibrant and energetic than someone who is bogged down by hormones. (Both men and women get bogged down by over-hormonization which effect their persona and their appearance.) In other words all beauty contests everywhere around the world would get to all only be won by pre-pubescent eunuchs and transexuals rather than by any who are born women simply because other than the hip curve, transexuals and eunuchs can easily appear far more more prettier and alluring than any of the others.

(This is one of the reasons that I believe the Biblical Esther was actually an eunuch herself.)

I just viewed some images of her.

Below the waist she is not all that feminine. To my eye.

Let her compete. Truly doubt she would win or place top five in a well judged contest.

Well judged? I mean one looking for the expression of feminine excellence.

It is what I would expect from an outfit controlled by Donald Trump. --FLO--

I'm not surprised by this at all. Canada has been fighting US to become the no.1 most embaressing country in the north americas lately. First, not allowing trans people to fly if their passport doesnt match their social presentation, now this.

The fact that she won the contest is proof that the outcome can not be explained in any way other than religious or social bigotry. They proved it. Having said that, I am pretty sure this violates Canadian law which prohibits employment discrimination on the basis of transsexuality. They are probably going to be sued

I think it was wrong to disqualify her for the beauty pageant, I just "googled" images and I think the woman is very beautiful. And I strongly DISagree with Moi when he says "

" Uhhh, I checked and rechecked, below the waist she IS feminine enough for my eyes, yes, very easy on the eyes. But still, I have to point out that there are a LOT of natural "born female" women who are not allowed to compete in transsexual beauty contests... So, is it fair?

I mean, transsexual beauty pageants, from the video clips I see the TS women in those pageants are at least equal to any other beauty pageants. Honestly I think that most TS women are actually more beautiful, particularly in their facial structure, so maybe the TS women DO have an unfair advantage. But the point I am trying to make it that IF a natural "born female" woman wanted to compete for the "Miss TS Universe" crown, she would be excluded I believe, so is this like "tit for tat?" "You won't let us play in your yard so you can't play in our yard." Maybe it IS fair to disqualify her, but I still beleive that Miss Talackova is very beautiful and should be allowed to compete.

The only beauty pageant I ever thought was worth watching was Chuck Barris' $1.98 Beauty Pageant.
