Hi everyone

Its my 40th birthday this year and as a treat, im visiting California/Nevada at the end of July/begging of August. Unfortunately, I will be travelling on my own and was wondering if anyone would be interested in getting together for a chat, dinner, sight seeing etc, discussions on castration/mods etc.

I live in the San Diego Area, once time gets closer and you had firm dates let me know I will be up for a visit.

I live in Arizona, but close to Las Vegas. If your Nevada vacation will be taking you to Las Vegas, Nevada, then let me know, we might meet up for a bit.

If your trip takes you to northern California/San Francisco area, I'd be glad to talk about the possibility to meeting up.

Keep in mind the US is a vast land and California is one of the larger states by size. The reason those of living here have difficulty saying more than, "If you're in the area, sure!" is that California is a state about 200 miles east to west and 800 miles north to south. San Francisco and LA are about 350 miles apart. Logically, I would guess you are going to Los Angeles or San Francisco though.

Again, if you're in my area, I'd be happy to get together if we can arrange it.

Hi Everyone, and thanks for your replies.

I guess I should have been a little more detailed about my plans.

I am flying out to Las Vegas on 25th July. Other than that, im pretty flexible about where to do. My plan was to go to see the main sights. I want to go and see London Bridge, dont know why, but ive always wanted to see it. Must look funny. Id also planned on going to Palm Springs, down to San Dieago, up to Santa Barbara, San Francisco, and then back down through Yosemite and Death Valley.

I am hiring a light aircraft, so can get most places. Ill be staying until 15th August.

Plans arent set in stone and am open to suggestions.

Those plans are rather ambitious. :) Glad to see you are going to travel widely in that area.

If you're going to Yosemite, I'd be happy to accompany you and show it off if I have the time available. It was my back yard growing up and I enjoy going there with visitors.

I might even be willing to give you a tour of San Francisco. The regular tourist stuff is fine, but I could show you things a lot of tourists never go do and are missing out on.

I live just north of Los Angeles, in the high desert. It's mostly a bedroom community for the greater Los Angeles area, so there is not a lot to do or really see here. But it's always nice to meet people and have dinner or a cup of coffee/tea. I know there are several airports out here that you could land at, so if you are interested, just let me know.
