At 6:30 am on November 4, 1979, 52 American hostages were seized at the United States embassy in Tehran, Iran, and held for 444 days.
Six American diplomats were in a different building when the Iranian revolutionaries broke into the embassy compound. They managed to evade capture and made it to the Swiss and Canadian embassies which were nearby.
Canadian Ambassador to Iran, Ken Taylor, made arrangements to protect the six diplomats until they could be smuggled out of Iran to freedom.
Canada held its first secret session since World War Two and voted to give the Americans Canadian passports. Using these passports, the six Americans flew to home and safety.
Thanks Canada

http://www.change.org/petitions/transge ... utopublish
Adopted on July 29, 2011,regulation SOR/2011-156 entitled Regulations Amending the Designated Provisions Regulations and the Identity Screening Regulations, a regulationunder the Aeronautics Act, violates the right of numerous transgenderand transsexual people to travel in the country, through article 5.2 (1), which reads as follows: βAn air carrier shall not transport a passenger ifβ¦ c) the passenger does not appear to be of the gender indicated on the identification he or she presents.β
If i visited Canada, I guess I'd be screwed.

What about Canada - - lately.
Here is something to "Hooray".
Canada is going to have four new LFL teams next year
to add to the Toronto team they have now.
From Canada, LFL is set to expand to OZ-land 2013, and Euro-land 2014.

Not if you wear what is in your avatar pic. There appears to be nothing about nekos in the regulation

.
Seriously though, we'd love to have you, en femme or not, and every country does some questionable things. Heck, as much as we are known to be the "nice" North American's, we're the ones who have yearly excursions onto the frozen water to bash in the heads of the cutest lil' furry seal-pups you ever saw.
But then we eat maple syrup on pancakes with beer while wearing adorable little touques (you ain't lived until you've seen a crotchety old man wearing a touque with a pom-pom on top, haha), so I think we balance out

.

no, i would really have a major issue because even though my passport says "Emily" it also says "M" under sex. I live as I am full time, but I guess because the medical and a large part of the trans community gets to invalidate anyone who doesn't fit their narrow idea of transgenderism, it means that's gonna say "M" on my passport for awhile yet.

I was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia in 1945....We moved to NYC in 1959...I've always loved Canada...But less so, of late, since the new conservative government took over....and passed, or tried to pass, biased laws like these...It's sad..I feel like I've lost my identity a bit...smooches Jackie
