Best external antennae for wireless connection

Post by devi (imported) »

Because of poor connectivity and bad weather I haven't been able to get online very much in the last few days. I'm in border range where I'm housesitting at. If I had an extra boost of some kind it'd be so much better. Any ideas?

Go with a "Yagi" style antenna. You can buy one, or download instructions (free) for how to make your own, from these two websites:

http://www.cantenna.com

http://www.turnpoint.net/wireless/cantennahowto.html

Try a web search for yagi antenna, or cantenna, there are probably dozens of other sites with info on this.
