Eunuch Awareness?

Okay, another thought that's probably been tossed around this board plenty times - but hey, I'm new, so go easy.

Based on my reading here on the boards, I understand that there are only two doctors who perform voluntary castration without much hassel - Kimmel and (can't remember). Other than that, our men (I've grown attached to you guys:p ) are left to underground cutters. And though I would hope that cutters mean well, it's stilll a huge health and life risk.

Hence, my query:

Outside of this website (my home sweet home), are there any organizations out there who support the Eunuch community and lifestyle?

Next question is, would the community WANT such an organization?

And finally, do any of you think that having such a voice would somehow open dialog with the Medical community, who obviously are shying away from voluntary castration like some unknown killer virus.

As I see it, the problem is not so much in the medical community as it is in society.

One might liken it to attempting to find an abortionist during the rampant years of the Mann Act in the U.S. It was a time when the first feminist was jailed for advising women on birthcontrol.

Many in the medical field I feel would be willing to help, but the society customs, insurance and malpractice structures and the feelings of the majority of society have placed such a taboo on this subject that it is all looked upon as a mental abnormality.

Keep in mind that the majority in medicine now are in it for the money. Have YOU asked your doctor lately if he would be a doctor if it only paid $50,000 a year? Most of them couldn't even make payments on their student loans with that type of income.

To broach a subject such as this brings ostracism upon a practicioner immediately. Consider what has happened to Dr. Kevorkian just for suggesting "death with dignity" and that the ultimate control over ones life and death and the particulars thereof rightly rests with the patient and the patient alone.

No, we are years from sexual alteration and castration upon demand in mainstream society. This site is only a beginning. I don't know if it will ever happen in our society that has such a pre-occupation with sex. You cannot put a "cock ring" on society because it already has an "erection" for the subject.

Whatever happened to Dr. Kevorkian, anyway? I heard about him a lot in the news years ago, but lately I haven't heard anything. Did he get thrown in jail, or what?
