spironolactone and NSAIDs

I've heard that one should not take spironolactone with NSAIDs. How serious is the risk? I've done it before I read not to and don't recall anything horrible happening...

(Hopefully I'll be seeing a endocrinologist soon, but thought this might be an interesting question anyway)

I've never heard of that problem, and I've been on spiro in the past. The reason that doctors love to prescribe NSAIDs is because of their low interaction rates. I would be more worried about potassium rates while on spiro than with NSAIDs.
