Most of us would never be able to pick a person out of a line up of two people, one being female.
I remember before I was retired working with this guy from Lawson software, he had a big booming base voice and I had a mental picture of this guy, then we had a conference and he and several others came to St Louis from the Twin Cities and I got to meet him. He was about 35, which I expected and was this baby faced kid who looked like he was about 18. Two of the places we went into carded him he looked so young and he just smiled and showed his ID. The other person I had pictured was about my age, but I did not expect a him to have a pony tail and beard. I should have expected it because he had said he and his wife like to go riding on his Harley.
So to answer your question, NO we would not be able to pick out anybody.

Of the people from the EA I have met no one really surprised me. I did enjoy hearing what others thought I would be like.

While I've been very poor at guessing how people look from their posts (or even their telephone conversations), I haven't been surprised at all by their personalities once we meet in person. It's a great group of people whom I'm pleased to know. My wife even likes all who have visited our home, especially Riverwind and Sag111, who were the first to visit. After their (joint) visit, she asked me why I didn't have more friends as nice as the two of them....
If you want to test how well you're doing with your mental images, you ought to plan to attend the next Midwest MoM. While the exact dates aren't set yet, but soon will be, it will be an August weekend in the first half of the month.

When I first started reading posts from our Jesus, his profile listed his name as Jesus Avacedo, or something close to that, a Latin name, so that's how I pictured him. I had talked to him on the phone and learned his true name before I met him, so I wasn't as surprised as I would have been otherwise.

Yea, our Jesus is pretty strange looking. Not like his voice at all. Hair down to his backside, that huge beard, the almost prehensile man-boobs. And trying to get him out of that pink tutu so you can take him to a resturant is almost impossible!
We love him though.

That is only an issue when we all bring our X Ray glasses.

I truly enjoyed meeting Kristoff and Jesus in Atlanta just a few months ago. Other than people's avatar photos, I don't have any pre-conceived notions of what anybody looks like.
