I have a question for all of you that have been castrated,or know some one that is. whether it was surgical, chemical,or alcohol injections.
I have learned allot here at the Archive forums. I have read that after castration, depression, muscle weakness, and osteoporosis can happen.
I am currently doing the alcohol injections. I can tell my T level is lower. I feel much calmer than I did before the injections. I have none of the side effects so far. I already take medication for OCD and Mild Depression. I have noticed my mood is better now. Less anger and frustration ,even my OCD has gotten better. I am wondering if I am in for a big crash at some point. At what T level could this happen? I also would like to know how does MtF avoid these symptoms. What should I expect? Any and all comments are greatly appreciated.

At what point will it happen?

I should also add that my libido is almost non-existent. Erections are difficult to obtain, and I can only achieve a semi-erection.

If my experience is relative, I would say over time expect some overall weight gain, some breast growth, some loss of strength and less motivation. The biggest plunge in T level occurs after having the testicles removed. Many effects of having low T can be overcome with TRT, if you want to keep your male characteristics, or HRT, to develop female ones. Taking taxomifen seems to retard the breast growth and various vitamin and calcium supplements seems to help with strength and motivation. The calcium also helps to promote strong bones.
I've notice that low T seems to have lowered my blood pressure to a healthier level.

Thanks for your reply. I have also learned about these side effects that you mention. I had forgotten about them. I am already on calcium with vitamin D twice daily. The issue of breast growth is also a concern to me. I already have man boobs and I don't need any more than I have.

I had no breast growth before but did start growing small breasts after a couple years. Seams to have stopped after starting TRT. Even the low dose TRT I take seems to have stopped it.

If you are chubby, fat cells produce estrogen and could cause breast growth without taking any HRT. Also if you take high dosages of HRT it can also cause breast growth as the testosterone is converted to estrogen.
