This is a little movie that probably never made it to the big screen, but I found it on Netflix and really liked it. The movie is about a bullied kid starring Uriah Shelton, who was about 12 when the movies was made; he looked younger than twelve, though. The kid has it rough, mother is an ex - maybe not so ex - crackhead. His father is deployed to Afghanistan. About everything that can goes wrong, does. His only out is a singing competition, and the kid can sing, in the movie and in real life, I guess. It was an emotional movie that hit all the right buttons. If you can make it through without a few tears, you're tougher than I am.

It looks interesting. I will try to find it in my local store.
