Hi,
I have been a member of EA for quite some time now. I figured I should not be rude introduce myself! I am a 29 year old male living in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I am a doctoral student and will hopefully have my PhD in 1.5 years. I identify as male and even if I do have the surgery, I will still identify as male.
I have had a serious interest in castration for about ten years. I do not like having a sex drive, do not like the look of testicles, and I look forward to the calm that people describe. I have experimented with chemical castration using both Androcur and Depo at different times. I found the Androcur to work a lot better though slower.
Living in the deep south, there are not a lot of therapists or doctors to talk to about this. I believe my current psychiatrist and my psychologist would have me committed. I am debating it but I think it might be time to take the next step and find a way to have the surgery. I do not have the pain threshold for banding, crushing, or alcohol injections.
Anyway, I would like to meet people and talk with people. From reading the boards, there seem to be a lot of nice and supportive people. I am active on Tribe.com and my chat handle is supernatural0115 if you want to look me up.
