• A great thing happened today...

Hi Everyone.

I wanted to post this in the Gay Cafe since, well, I'm gay.

I finally got the courage to tell my boyfriend I want to get castrated. The love of my life turned to me with a smile instead of running in horror (I expected him to run). He's being very supportive in my desire to have this done.

He agrees with my plan to go chemical castration first and then follow with the surgical after. He also understands the chemical version will make my sex interest diminish but he seems willing to forgo that for a while so I can be sure this is what I am wanting/needing.

He is a very wonderful guy and I'm lucky to have him. We have decided to get some other life issues worked out first (Like where we want to live permanently) before I become a eunuch.

I'm on a cloud right now.

I am emotionally drained right now. I had kept this a secret and was worried how it would turn out. It's amazing how doing nothing physical can wear you out when it comes to this subject.

I am just in a daze right now. Something is really going to happen and the person I love is helping me though it.

You're so lucky in that respect. Other than a couple of doctors, I told ONE person that I wanted to get rid of my balls and why - namely the constant pain I was in at the time - and the look of rapt terror on his face and the things that he said to me hurt beyond words. Since then, I don't mention it. The problems are manageable now, so it's really not worth discussing with anyone anymore.

My only fear now is finding a physician who will perform the battery of tests to see how I am as an intact male. I want a baseline so that I will be able to receive the proper treatment when the time comes.

I suppose finding a gay doctor will be difficult in my area. Bible belt and all...

At least my biggest fear didn't come to pass.

I am not sure why you would need a gay physician. Perhaps you can simply say you want a complete medical checkup, to include bone density scanning (preferably DEXA), a complete endocrine checkup to include total testosterones and estradiol, complete liver profile, and so on. You need the tell the physician WHY at this point in time.

But yes, getting that baseline would be a good start.
