FINAL WARNING Regarding the Fiction Archive
Posted: Sat Sep 17, 2011 11:21 pm
As anyone who has attempted to access the new Fiction Archive has noticed, you have to log in to it to be able to read stories other than the samples.
Anyone familiar with how VBulletin and other discussion forum software works also knows that you can be banned or suspended by an Administrator.
Logging in to the Fiction Archive requires that you be registered with VBulletin here.
Connected any dots yet?
For those who can't connect the dots: A LOT of effort has and IS still going into this new venture. The goal is to have the Fiction Archive not only being back to what it was, with all the features that it once had for searching and indexing, but for it to have more as well.
This is going to take time, though, and whining about it isn't going to help.
What whining about it WILL accomplish is this - you won't be reading ANY of the stories except for the same samples, because you won't be able to log in to the Fiction Archive. This will be because you will have been IP banned, right down to the router # at your ISP.
Be thankful for what's online and working so far.
