Hi there all,
I hope to learn more about the steps needed on here and have heard good things about here from fetlife and clubsissy.
I'm Cait, a male to female that is pre-hormone due to lack of funds.
I'm married and my wife is a genetic female that is supporting and also desiring to learn more and different safe ways to get my transition underway.
I see my transition as going two ways. Ether as a passing female or as an over sexualized version of a female (think amanda lepore). If I am unable to pass I would rather go extreme. If I can pass no need to go extreme.
I do not care for sex and my wife and I have been married for 3 years and we have no had sex and we have no problem with that. I do not care for a vagina due to costs.
I'm also an artist with my passion in TV/Film Production. My emphasis in directing, lighting and video editing as well as wardrobe.
I also enjoy ren faires, museums, sci-fi/fantasy/gaming/horror conventions and live musical theatre.
I am also sorta active in the local BDSM community and my wife is not able to dominate a female so we have an open polyamorous marriage.
Any questions just ask and I hope to be able to learn a lot here.
Thanks,
Cait

Welcome ArtistCait.
You'll find all sorts here, and a lot of good advice to be had. The experience available here on this board is truly remarkable. I'm sure you'll find what you are looking for.
For what it matters, I also have an interest in TV/Video Production. I went to film school, and for a few years ran my own video production company. Sadly, due to lack of funds, I was never able to make of it what I wanted, and had to return to the work-a-day world to keep body and soul together. If you need any one to talk to relating to video/film production, I'm your man.
As to the rest, and more important to this board, there is a wealth of knowledge to be found. Failing knowledge, this is a great place for support.
Welcome.

Welcome to the zoo! Look around; ask questions. Most of the regulars here are friendly and helpful. There's a wealth of knowledge already posted, though new questions continue to come up.
You state that you are Male-to-Female, but your self-description reads much more like "Gender-queer," someone who cannot easily be pounded into either of the standard male/female pigeonholes. If so, you will find lots of company here.

Hi Cait! If you have a GP who will prescribe spironolactone and estradiol for you, those can often be had for generic prices at Wal-Mart or other discount pharmacies. The cost may vary from $4 to $10 each per month or possibly more, depending on which pharmacy you use. If you haven't already joined and read the Yahoo! group TSDoItYourselfHormones, it's an extremely valuable source of information and friendship, much like the Eunuch Archive.
I wish you the best of luck, and welcome!!
