Hello everyone. This is to let anyone who is interested know of my experience and opinion of dealing with several on-line pharmacies. As many of you have probably read, I started taking Androcur at the end of April. The first order I placed was with Inhousepharmacy.com in the U. Kingdom. I received the order in 7 days. I then placed an order with another on-line pharmacy that other people on this forum have used. It was Anagen.net.
What a mistake. I do NOT recommend that anyone use this outfit.
They have charged me twice for two orders and I still have not received the Androcur after supposedly being shipped over a month ago. Here's my complete experience with them...
I placed my first order with them in the middle of May. After about 7-8 days I had not heard from them at all. After sending them an e-mail asking about the order I received an e-mail which said,
"Your order has been received. If you have received the debit on
the credit card the product has been shipped.
If you have not received the debit yet I beg to order again."
I figured that after about 10 days and no debit to my credit card that the order must have been lost so I ordered again using a different credit card. The next day my first credit card was debited for over $100. The Androcur was supposed to cost $84 US Dollars and include shipping and NOT $100. That was on May 27 when the first order was SUPPOSEDLY shipped. A few days after that my second credit card was debited for the second order for the same amount. I still have NOT received that order either.
I sent an e-mail on June 21 to anagen.net. I finally received the reply this morning which read,
"Your order has been received. If you have received the debit on
the credit card the product has been shipped.
If you have not received the debit yet I beg to order again."
Sound familiar?
I have now called contacted American Express and told them to cancel payment for the first order. It will take a few weeks to investigate everything. I'm going to contact the second credit card company and do the same thing. As far as I am concerned, anagen.net is totally useless and I do NOT recommend that ANYONE here on the board use them.
I placed a second order with inhousepharmacy.com yesterday, received an automated confirmation immediately. Then this morning there was a shipping confirmation. It should be here in about 7 days if things go like the first order with them. It does cost slightly more but at least you will get the product. At first anagen.net looks much cheaper. The advertise 50mg for $84 US but then they charge over $100. And then it never arrives. Save yourself some headaches and DON'T USE anagen.net for anything.

Re: Pharmacies - One NOT to Use
I'm with chris_M and his opion of the online phamacy Anagen.net. I [;aced an order on June 12 and my credit card still hasn't had a debit post from Anagen. It could be something as simple as Anagen being out of stock on Androcur or the Physician approving the prescriptions is on vacation.
Riverwind when was the last time you placed an order with Anagen.net?
Was the cost of your order the same as they advertised or did they mark the price up like they did with chris?
Did you (or chris_M) request the Physician Review?
I'm wondering if I should canclel my credit card. Based on chris_M's experience I doubt emailing Anagen would result in any satisfactory response.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck with Anagen.net. Although I do not need to order from overseas pharmacies anymore, [ I am curently under a local doctors care for hormones], I can recommend a pharmacy that I have used since August of 2000 with excellent results. Pharmacycare.com has shipped everything that I have ordered in about 10 days to the east coast. The web site was down a couple of months ago but they sent me an E-mail saying that they upgraded their site. Some things are no longer available, [Spironolactone what I was using], since the events of 911, but they do have Androcur and testosterone supplements. Again, I would highly recommend this site.

Funny you should mention Pharmacycare. I placed an order with them June 3 & have yet to receive it, though I was charged for it. I e-mailed them with no reply. I, too, live on the East Coast. I would really like to know what is going on.

Last year U.S. Officials were circulating a document warning known drug companies that imported medications to the USA was illegal from New Zealand. Prior to the events of 911, Pharmacycare.com had recieved this letter and my shipment came from a sister company in europe, bypassing this restriction. My last order was a few days after 911 and I got it with no problems. Given the time that has past since these events, customs might have been alerted and siezed those orders. If your order was siezed, it will be returned to Pharmacycare and you should be able to get a refund.

Re: Pharmacies - One NOT to Use
Chris,
Thanks for the information about drug companies in New Zealand. That's where Anagen.net is located so maybe both of my orders were blocked. Time will tell whether I get a refund or not....

According to their site shipments are now made from Hong Kong. Prior to that they were sent from Figi. We shall see.
I have received orders from other companies prior to this without a hitch.
