I appreciate the feedback, and that's fine that the Fiction Archive might have been the only reason that you were here.
However, there are several issues to overcome BEFORE the Fiction comes back (IF it does at all). Please be patient.
Thank you.

I came mostly to read stories, but mostly I cant find them, and the ones Ive found were not very good. There must be better ones than Ive seen somewhere.

How about a separate "domain" (?) for the fiction archive so it doesn't threaten the whole Board again.
Fiction seems like a fertile area for mind drift into forbidden thoughts as threatens the whole Board.

That's an idea.
Keep throwing them out there!
Throw money, too.

Ok, this is it!
Before I go to far, please let me thank from the bottom of my heart all those who have been supportive of the archive in this time of trouble. Your kind words, your constructive thoughts, your understanding and patience along with your financial support are really wonderful to see and hear. It is amazing we have such a group and it makes me happy to be part of it.
Then there are the others and for those mentioned above, please ignore my next few paragraphs.
If the only reason you come to the archive is to jack off, leave now.
Just in case you haven't been watching we just had a major incident in which we almost didn't come back. Folks have put thier lives on hold to get this going as far as we have. I for example was on the first real vacation I've had in years, found out about this and dropped everything to work getting the Archive back and the forums going. If that wasn't enough I had to take a day off of work (when I should have been returning) because the website wasn't right and still needed work. For that I lost pay for that day and I am so underpaid that it seriously hurts. I'm still working on things and if you believe I did all this just so you could come in and whine because you can't jack off to your normal material, you are sorely mistaken.
My suggestion to folks that can't wait peaceably for things to happen is two fold:
1) Go make your own website so you can listen to horny users whine while you slave to get things right.
2) Go buy pornography at the news stand. There is lots around the internet also. If you can't do this then write a nice erotic story, mail it to yourself, wait till it arrives, then open it exclaiming "my new pornography has arrived!" and masturbate to it.
The fate of the stories will not be decided for a month and no amount of screaming an kicking will make that time go faster. A month? Why that is right about the time Midwest MoM happens and you are correct! We will be deciding what happens to the fiction archive at that meeting and if you are of the mind of it, attend and let your opinions be known.
Whining will only piss me off more and when I get pissed off, things happen!
Go find a better website. I dare you.

If you have to have your stories, it was pointed out on another thread that the archive was archived on the WaybackMachine site.
http://wayback.archive.org/web/20110815 ... eunuch.org .
Stories are available there I believe.

Yes, I too have herd all the whining I care to hear about the story board, but let me try to be nicer then my best friend who posted above.
At the MOM event the staff and those others that wish to join in will
1. Decide if we ever have a story board again.
if that answer is yes, then
2. How will it be displayed,
3. How will it be monitored,
and
4. Most importantly who is going to get it up and running,
5. Who is going to monitor it once its up.
6. Who is going to be responsible for content over the whole thing.
7. Will we need to make it a PAY site to pay for the hosting.
8. If we make it a pay site, HOW MUCH per month will we need to charge, will we accept credit cards, pay pal,
When these and other questions that are sure to come are answered like how is it going to be linked to the Forums, should it be, do we need another site all together, how will we pay for this? is answered then we will let you know
if the story board comes back up ever and a date when it might happen, some time in the future after the MOM event.
Just wanted to clear up things for you guys that only come here to jerk off.
as for the rest of you thanks for all your help in getting this site moved over to our new and free site.

This suggestion is probably totally obvious to the moderators, but I figured I'd toss it in anyway: the Nifty archive has managed to survive for quite a few years now—perhaps their administrators could offer some tips.

talula,
Thank-you for all your hard work here. If I haven't taken the time to say it, I will now. Thank-you. That you were able to do so much in a time of crisis, and in such little time is impressive and worthy of praise.
You completely rock!
As to the people who are crying out for the Fiction Archive, please don't lump us all into one group. We are not all chronic masturbators who come here for a quick yank. I am certainly not one of those, and thinking that you might view me that way is kind of insulting.
I am perfectly willing to wait for whatever decision you make regarding the archive. In my own posts, I have called for a dialog on the validity of the archive. Whether it should exist at all, or be heavily censored. In those posts I have made my own position clear.
I would have the Fiction Archive separated from the main website. I would have it behind a password protection and age verification. I would not see it censored of content.
Please see my posts on the matter here:
http://www.eunuchworld.org/forums/showt ... ontroversy.
All I'm asking for is a discussion from our members on the issue. Please don't lump me into the concept of a pornography hound looking for my next fix. That is not who I am. That is not why I read the stories. Most of the people I have conversed with do not read it for that purpose either.
Some do.
I am not one of them. Of the Fiction Archive authors I have spoken with, the reason they write is not to give someone a good yank, but but express their own issues and concerns. Explorations into the eunuch experience.
I truly hope you know that the Fiction Archive is not all about free pornography. Even if some people view it that way, that's not why it is valuable.
I am worried that, from your comments here, that you do not see any intrinsic value in the Archive beyond someone masturbating.
I can wait for the decision to be made at the MoM event in August. Unfortunately, unless I win the lottery, or come into a lot of money, I will not be able to attend. My only place to express my opinions and concerns in this forum.
Please encourage people to add to the discussion by going to my thread on the Story Recommendations & Ideas Board (
http://www.eunuchworld.org/forums/forum ... deas-Board) and look for
http://www.eunuchworld.org/forums/showt ... ontroversy.
It is the only part of the main forum that is behind password. (you have to sign in to view it, or post in it.)
Please give us this place to be heard, but please don't paint us all with the same brush. I am very grateful for your work. I am very thankful for all that you have done for me, in coming to understand who and what I am. Keeping the EA open and operational, giving a safe place on the web for people like me, means more than you might realize.
