It had been five weeks, so it didn't take very long, and I went limp immediately after. Since the night of my self-banding, I've felt some mild discomfort in my groin. I still have nocturnal erections, but they also don't seem as hard or as frequent -- I used to wake up almost every night feeling like my penis was going to explode from the pressure, and that would last until I urinated.

I never reached the point of pain from the rubber band. My balls never turned blue. My testicles don't feel tender to the touch. The band couldn't have been on more than about three minutes. I've always had some varicose veins in my left sac, and wonder if that could have made me more sensitive to damage from the band.

I'm so worried now that I have accidentally partially lived my fantasy and killed part of my sexual functioning. Do you think that is possible, or do you think it is all in my head? Has anyone heard of damage occurring that quickly?

I banded about a 100 times with elastrator bands for up to an hour and a half and never succeeded in hurting mine so I think the chances of doing any damage in 3 minutes with a rubber band is slim to zero.

I have to agree with "feedback", three minutes should not cause any damage, that is unless there was medical problem to begin with.

If there was damage done in most cases the testicles would swell and/or atrophy, but that is given with ethyl alcohol injection, or Burdizzo use.

It's probably just a coincidence. You may have other things going on causing this problem. Taking any new medications? High blood pressure and the medications that go with it can be very hard on erections as well as many other drugs, especially multiple drugs having a combined effect.

Testicles are VERY hard to damage enough to cause low T. I think the scrotum skin will die before the testicles will when it comes to banding.

Others have brought up good points about medications and such, but allow me to be blunt...

You're 51 now, not dead by far, but it's proven that as we men age, our sexual functioning usually fades. I'm speculating this has more to do with your being 51 than anything else.

I've noticed at 40 that my body doesn't process testosterone as well as it did at 25, so even though I'm on HRT, my body seems to be doing the same thing most others that are in middle age are.

Medical literature on testicular torsion says that up to 3 hours the testicles won't get permanent damage. After 12 hours they have 50% of permanent damage. At 24 hours they are over 90% of permanent damage.

Note that this is only about the testicles. The scrotal skin can be damaged after an hour.

Also, did you band around the penis? It is possible to damage the penis with banding, not from restricted blood flow but from compressing the tissue that engorges. You definitely do not want to band your penis (unless you want to lose it) because it can cause scarring internally that affects erections (either generally or causing curvature).

Curiosity, I agree with most of what has been said in reply.

It is unlikely that banding for three minutes wiould cause any permanent damage. It is possible that most of your problems may be a combination of mind over matter and your age. Your concern with being able to keep hard and orgasm can cause performance problems.

The fantasies while being banded does stimulate many males and create intense orgasms with the ejaculations. This may also interfere with our normal intercourse and sexual excitement.

I wonder if others have had there preferred form of stimulation change or decrease the desire for "routine" sex. Does having intense orgasms from such activities as banding, cbt, bdsm, etc, ruin us for other forms of pleasure?

how true when you are taking a lot of medication they can effect your ability to get and maintain an erection this is one thing that i do know about as i am on a load of medication for a lot medical issues and i could not get an erection this was before i became chemicaly castrated

You might have damaged one or both of the chords and because of your age, they might be more sensitive to damage. On the other hand, you might have temporarily injured one or both of your testicles, and it might take some time for them to regain their full function. Give it some time and stay away from rubber bands or you might end up a eunuch like me!

If 3 minutes would do permanent damage mine would have been permanently gone long ago.
